Smoothie bowls are a delicious and refreshing way to start the day. They offer a great boost of nutrient-rich fruits, veggies, and seeds that will keep you full and satisfied. They’re fun to make with the kids and you can get creative with the toppings.
To make: Blend up frozen fruit (we used Kirkland frozen strawberries, pineapple, banana). Continue to add milk a splash at a time until you reach a thick, creamy consistency, similar to that of frozen yogurt. Top with fresh fruit and whatever else your heart desires. Our usual lineup includes chia seeds, hemp seeds, pepitas, and shredded coconut. The kids like to top theirs with cheerios and other cereals. Drizzle with nut butter for some extra protein and enjoy!
