Why make gummies at home?
Crafted with natural goodness and requiring only 4 ingredients, these delightful treats are not only delicious but a great alternative to store-bought candies. Packed with the antioxidant-rich power of pomegranate juice as well as collagen from beef gelatin, they’re a fun and easy way to enjoy gummies at home.
What do I need to make gummies at home?
100% juice: For this recipe I am using POM Wonderful 100% pomegranate juice because it's packed with antioxidant goodness, but you can substitute with any fruit juice.
Beef gelatin: I like to use beef gelatin as it contains collagen. Be sure to use unflavored gelatin so the taste of the gummies is not affected. You can find the unflavored beef gelatin that I use here.
Lemon juice: The juice of half a lemon squeezed into the mix provides a hint of tartness that pairs great with the sweetness from the juice and honey
Honey: A few tablespoons of honey provides just the right amount of sweetness
Gummy molds: While you don’t need any special equipment for this recipe, I recommend using silicon gummy molds. You can find the molds animal and star molds I used for this recipe here. If you don’t have molds, you can simply add the gummy mixture to a square baking pan then slice into cubes with a knife once it is set.
