Shanghai Bok Choy

Ingredients
  

  • 4-5 bunches Shanghai bok choy sliced in half or quarters
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil any oil with a high smoke point will do, like canola or grapeseed oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic roughly chopped
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large skillet or wok over medium low heat. Add oil, then saute garlic for just a minute until it starts to turn golden.
  • Add Shanghai bok choy to the pan, with the sliced side facing down. Let the bok choy sear for a minute, then flip. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and water and cover with lid.
  • Reduce heat to low and allow to cook for 3 minutes.
  • Serve with cooked rice.
