Sesame Broccoli

Ingredients
  

  • 1 head broccoli cut into small florets (about 3-4 cups)
  • 1.5 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste depending on the size of the broccoli head)
  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Fill a pot with up to about an inch of water and place the chopped broccoli into a steamer basket. Steam broccoli for about 5-6 minutes or until broccoli is bright green and crisp (broccoli should still be firm and not mushy).
  • Turn off the heat and discard the water from the pot.  Add the steamed broccoli back into the pot and toss with the remaining 3 ingredients.  Mix until all the broccoli is evenly coated. 
  • Enjoy as a side along with rice and salmon, chicken/beef or other entree of choice.
