Tips for the Best Hawaiian Chex Mix
Don’t Skip the Furikake: It’s the key to the signature Hawaiian flavor.
Mix Gently and Often: Be careful when tossing the dry ingredients with the sauce to avoid breaking the cereals. I also give the mix a toss every 20 minutes while baking to prevent clumps from forming.
Use a Large Pan: Give the mix plenty of space to bake evenly. Be careful not to crowd the pan and use multiple pans if needed.
Change it up: Try different variations according to your liking. Fritos, goldfish crackers, and Japanese rice crackers, as well as nuts like almonds, peanuts, cashews, etc. can be added as well.
Perfect for All Occasions
Holiday Parties: A fun and festive snack that can be put out for guests to munch on before the big meal, or while hanging out and playing games after. I like to put them in a decorate bowl to make it extra special.
Game Days: Perfect for munching during the big game. Pairs well with savory finger foods like wings, pigs in a blanket, mozzarella sticks, etc.
Potlucks: Easy to transport and share.
Gifting: Package it up in a cute mason jar with ribbon for a thoughtful homemade gift. My kids and I like to make a huge batch and give them out to our neighbors during the holidays.
Movie Night: Great to much on while cozying up on the couch and watching your favorite show or movie.
Storage Tips
