This pink hot chocolate recipe is a fun and festive drink made with white chocolate, warm milk, and vanilla. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, birthdays, or cozy nights in!

Ingredients

FOR THE HOT CHOCOLATE

3/4 cup @ghirardelli white chocolate chips

2 cups milk

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

23 drops of red food coloring (add more if you prefer a darker shade)

FOR THE WHIPPED CREAM

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp sugar

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, warm the milk, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the white chocolate chips, stirring continuously until fully melted and smooth
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and a few drops of red food coloring. Adjust the color until you achieve the perfect shade of pink.
  4. In a stand mixer (or by hand), whip the heavy cream until it starts to thicken.  Add the vanilla extract and sugar, then continue whipping until stiff peaks form.
  5. Pour the pink hot cocoa into a mug.  Top with a generous dollop of homemade whipped cream and enjoy!
